Voter ID Public Awareness Campaign launched

Wisconsin's Government Accountability Board is getting the word out about the state's new Voter ID laws.  Check it out here.

Recall efforts underway

Recall petitions have been submitted to force recall elections for Governor Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and four Republican state Senators.

New voting rules affect future elections

Legislation signed by the Governor has changed ID requirements and other voting rules:

  • Voters will be asked to supply ID
  • Residency requirement now 28 rather than 10 days
  • Early voting period at municipal clerks' offices now 2 weeks, rather than 4 and will end on the Friday before election day.

To vote in Wisconsin, you need to be registered which you can do through your municipal clerk's office or at your polling place on election day.
